Alfred F. (Pete) Holsinger, Jr.

Alfred F. (Pete) Holsinger, Jr., 74, of Leesburg, passed away Tuesday, April 29 at Inova Loudoun Hospital.

Alfred was born to the late Alfred F. Holsinger and Bessie Holsinger, February 3, 1940 in Woodstock.  

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Betty Shipp Holsinger of Leesburg; daughter, Cynthia Holsinger Clapp & husband, Alan, of Bluemont; four young grandchildren that he adored- Stephen, Lauren, Ian & Teagan.  He is also survived by five siblings; Barry Holsinger of Huntington, Tennessee; Darryl (Carol Lee) Holsinger of New Market; William (Kathy) Holsinger of Woodstock; Barbara (Dennis) Willis of Waynesboro; and Carol (Sam) Heishman of Woodstock.

A family graveside service will be held at Sunset View Memorial Gardens in Woodstock on Sunday at 1:00 officiated by Dr. Charles Woods.

In honor of Mr. Holsinger, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.

    I remember Petty playing basketball at Woodstock High School and as Barry’s older brother. Saddened to hear of his passing.May the Good Lord hold his family tight and grant them peace.
