Alger Lee Weaver

Alger Lee Weaver, 75, of Mt. Jackson, passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at Shenandoah Memorial Hospital in Woodstock.  No services are planned.

Mr. Weaver was born January 28, 1935 in St. Luke, son of the late William Marion and Florence Irene Wine Weaver.  He was a graduate of Woodstock High School and  retired from Whitesel Brothers in Harrisonburg after over 30 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Whittington Weaver, sister Catherine  Coleman and brothers Truman J. Weaver, George W. Weaver, Ralph W. Weaver and Wilbur M. Weaver.

He is survived by his son, Stephen Merlin Weaver and his wife Brenda of Maurertown; brother, Delmar G. Weaver of Woodstock, sister, Ethel Shirkey originally of Woodstock, two grandchildren, one great grandson and Alger’s companion Shirley Sine of Mt. Jackson.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to charity of choice.
