Belle B. Henry, 86, of Woodstock died Thursday, October 13, 2011 at Consulate.
She was born June 19, 1925 at Woodstock, daughter of the late David Ashby Henry and Mary Elizabeth Gordon Henry.
She was a member of Smith Creek Baptist Church. She was employed by Shenandoah County Schools as a bus driver for 26 years.
Miss Henry is survived by a sister, Mary Ryman of Woodstock; three nephews living near her, whom she enjoyed very much as children growing up close to her, Anthony Ryman of Woodstock, Dr. Denny Ryman and family of Louisiana, and Phillip Ryman and family, Harrisonburg. She has a number of nieces and nephews quite a distance away.
She was preceded in death by five brothers.
She loved to travel and went to Israel. She showed her slides of her trip to churches and gave a little talk about each slide in Woodstock when she returned. She loved animals. She owned a Great Pyrenees dog (Hercules) that was the love of her life.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, October 16, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Massanutten Cemetery by Pastor Brent Hockema.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Shenandoah County Animal Shelter, 268 Landfill Road, Edinburg, VA 22824.
Friends may sign the guest book Saturday from 9-12 noon at Dellinger Funeral Home in Woodstock.
