Betty Nicholas Ringer, 81, of Woodstock, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2013 at Greenfield Senior Living in Woodstock. Mrs. Ringer was born on July 25, 1932 and served in the Women’s Air Force, where she met her husband, the late Ronald Ringer.
Mrs. Ringer spent parts of her life in New York State, Maryland, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania before returning to Woodstock in 2002. She is survived by her son, Richard Ringer and his wife, Donna Lynn of Owen Sound, Canada, as well as three grandchildren – Ryan, Christopher, Shannon and her husband, Tim Fish, all in Ontario, Canada. Also her sister, Polly Helsley, of Woodstock, her niece Letha Rush of Woodstock and great nieces Lora Turner of Luray and Kim Hoover of Woodstock. She is pre-deceased by her husband, her mother Harilla May and father Harry Nicholas.
A celebration of life will be held for family and friends at a date to be announced.
