Brenda Faye Moats, 59 of Crimora, died Saturday, May 21, 2011 at Augusta Medical Center in Fishersville.
Mrs. Moats was born June 19, 1951 in Harrisonburg, daughter of Korene Mae Sager Hansberger of Mt. Jackson and the late Wilmer “Jim” Franklin Hansberger.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Pine Lutheran Church in Mt. Jackson and was employed at American Safety Razor in Verona.
Mrs. Moats was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence J. Moats.
She is survived by two daughters, Dawn Marie Mason of Crimora and Alicia Ann Knapp of Fort Valley; two step-daughters, Kimberly White of Crimora and Tonya Coffey of Waynesboro; a step-son, Scotty Moats of Crimora; a brother, Dale Hansberger of New Market; 11 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Dellinger Funeral Home in Mt. Jackson with the Rev. Karen Van Stee officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Jackson Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
