Brenda Joyce Cross

Brenda Joyce Cross, 61 of Mt. Jackson, died Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Winchester Medical Center.

Mrs. Cross was born December 15, 1950 in Virginia, daughter of Doracus Elizabeth Ballenger Tobin of Mt. Jackson and the late Carlyle Andre Tobin.

She is survived by her companion, Mike Funkhouser; three daughters, Kimberley Jordan of Winchester, Kandace Wilson of Luray and Krista Cavallaro of New Market; a son, Jason Cross of New Market; two sisters, Paulette Dennis of Mt. Jackson and Karen Brown of Strasburg; a brother, Wesley Tobin of Strasburg; 12 grandchildren; and one great granddaughter.

Graveside services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Sunset View Memorial Gardens in Woodstock with Wesley Tobin officiating.

Pallbearers will be Jason Cross, Wesley Tobin, Jr., Tyler Jordan, Kevin Dennis, Denny Dennis and Derek Cross.

Memorial contributions may be made to Brenda Cross Burial Fund, c/o Dellinger Funeral Home, P.O. Box 63, Mt. Jackson, VA 22842.

      Our deepest sympathy to all of the family,especially Mile and the girls and of course our dearest cousin LIZ .We do not know if we will be at graveside as David won’t be able to get out .     I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Brenda I lost touch with her after my brother ( her husband) passed away many years ago but over the years I have thought of her often. My heart goes out to her children espically my niece Kim. May she rest in heaven and once again see my brother.
