Brenda M. Wynn

Brenda M. Wynn, 79, of Bryce Resort, Basye, VA passed away peacefully on October 14, 2017, in her home, cared for by her loving husband Fred, and her best friend, Kay Littlepage.

Brenda was born in Boone, NC to Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Mast.  After graduating from Appalachian State, she moved to Hampton, VA to teach high school science.  She met and married Fred, and provided him two wonderful sons and 56 years of love and companionship.

Through her life’s adventure, she travelled as an Air Force wife, taught in four different school systems, succeeded as an operations manager for a Capitol Hill information company, and faithfully served in the local Lions Club.  Her loves, in priority, were her family (especially grandson Brett), her friends (especially the quilting group), and her mountain heritage (especially through the Bryce Resort Community).

In addition to her husband, she is survived by sons Rick Wynn (wife Maya) of Falls Church, VA and Steven Wynn (wife Renee’) of Annandale, VA; grandson Brett Wynn of Arlington, VA; and her North Carolina family members:  brothers Gary (wife Sue)and Steve Mast and sister Janice  (husband John) Branstrom.

Following a private service on Friday, October 20, 2017, all friends and family are cordially invited to a Remembrance Celebration to be held from 2:00 to 5:00PM  at the Bryce Resort Restaurant, 1982 Fairway Dr., Mt Jackson, VA 22842.

In lieu of flowers, Brenda requested any donations be sent to the Basye-Bryce Mountain Lions Club Scholarship Fund, P O Box 59, Basye, VA 22810
