Carolyn June Lambert

Carolyn June Lambert, 62, formerly of Woodstock, passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at Evergreen Health and Rehab Center in Winchester.  A graveside service will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery at Fairview (west of Woodstock).  Reverend Barbara Rhodes will officiate.

Miss Lambert was born August 19, 1948 in Shenandoah County, daughter of the late Warren and Dora Isabel Richman Lambert.  She was a 1966 graduate of Central High School and received her Associate Degree from Strayer Uninversity.  She was  formerly employed with Woodstock Equipment Co., a member of St. Paul’s U.C.C. and associated with Girl Scouts of America.

She is survived by her daughter, Stacie Lynn Lambert of Woodstock; brother, Richard “Doc” Lambert and his wife Jan of Edinburg; granddaughter, Ashlynn Lambert; niece, Miranda Funkhouser of Mt. Jackson and nephew, Matthew Lambert of Edinburg.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Carolyn Lambert Funeral Fund, c/o Dellinger Funeral Home, 157 N. Main Street, Woodstock, VA 22664.

    I always had good memories of Carolyn in high school & the good times we had. She was a very pleassant, caring person to be around. She will be missed by all who knew her.

    Her cakes were delicious and her decorating skills were among the best.
    She worked so hard with the girl scouts, her church and was always looking for ways to help her daughter and others.
