Carson Lee Barb, 81, of Edinburg, died Thursday, July 16, 2015 at Life Care Center of New Market.
Mr. Barb was born September 1, 1933 in Bird Haven, son of the late Theodore Canan and Elsie Gertrude Barb.
He served in the United States, Army during the Korean Conflict.
He retired from Johns Manville in Edinburg.
He is survived by his wife , Pauline Barb whom he married August 23, 1958. Also surviving are two daughters, Josephine E. Cline of Basye and Mary E. Franklin of Quicksburg; two sons, Christopher G. Barb and Henry A. Barb both of Edinburg; a sister, Gwendolyn Miller of Basye; five brothers, Edgar Barb of Front Royal, David Barb of Basye, Benjamin Barb of New Market, Doland Barb of Marshall and Sandy Jo Barb of Woodstock; eight grandchildren, Christopher G. Barb, Jr., Tiffany C. Dellinger, Anthony C. Franklin, Roger L. Cline, Tracy J. Barb, Kylene N. Franklin and Breanna M. Franklin; five great grandchildren, Felicia T. Barb, Isabell L. Dellinger, Olivia E. Dellinger, Aubrey K. Dellinger and Emmalee C. Dellinger.
Mr. Barb was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Barb and a sister, Joyce Miller.
Funeral services will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Edinburg. Burial will follow at St. Paul’s Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Anthony C. Franklin, Christopher Barb, Jr., James Dellinger, Jeffrey Barb, Monty Barb and William Miller, Jr.
Honorary pallbearer will be Roger Cline.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Dellinger Funeral Home in Mt. Jackson.
