Charles Henry Sylvester

Charles Henry Sylvester, 56 of Edinburg and formerly of Woodbridge passed away, Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 30, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at The Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Woodstock. Burial will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery in Edinburg. The Very Reverend Alexander MacPhail will officiate.

Mr. Sylvester was born August 30, 1957 in Alexandria, Virginia. Son of the late Leon Sylvester Jr. and Lillian Peckham Sylvester. He was a member of The Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Woodstock. He worked as a carpenter with Jenkins Services.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret (Pat) Sylvester; 3 sons, Frank Sylvester and Joshua Sylvester of Woodbridge, and Andrew Sylvester of Stafford; a daughter, Paige Sylvester of Stafford; step children, Peter, Michael, Thomas Hirschberg, and Diana Haynes;4 sisters, Frances Spicer, Rita Arrington, Susan Sylvester, and Nancy Woodard; a brother Leon Sylvester, and 12 grandchildren. Also surviving are many family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Emmanuel Episcopal Church 122 E. Court St. Woodstock, Virginia 22664.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 4-6 P.M. at the Dellinger Funeral Home in Woodstock.
