Christie Louella Jewell Orndorff

Christie Louella  Jewell Orndorff, 89, of Maurertown, died Sunday, January 22, 2017 at Greenfield of Woodstock.

She was born April 14, 1927 in Fishers Hill, VA, daughter of the late Herbert H. and Dixie Butler Jewell.

She was a member of Round Hill Church of the Brethren in Toms Brook and was active at Cedar Creek Christian Church for many years.

She had worked at Bowman Apple Products in Mt. Jackson for over 30 years and was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband Roy C. Orndorff whom she was married to for 63 years.

She is survived by a daughter Mary Ann Herrell of Winchester, two sons, Lester Orndorff (Joan) and Charlie Orndorff (Carmel) all of Woodstock.

She is survived by a sister Mary Boyer of Middletown.

Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Lisa Keller Nelson, Amanda Herrell George (Craig), Melissa Orndorff Stephens (Mark), Christen Orndorff Palmer (Josh), Tiffany Orndorff Brown (Gabe), Craig Orndorff (Robin) Sabrina Orndorff Dover (Michael); great grandchildren, Clark Keller (Molly), Ashton Nelson, Meleah Brown, Lucy George, Keo Brown, Archer Brown, Henry George, Theona Brown, Della Dover and Alice Orndorff; and a great great grandchild, Paisley Keller.

She was preceded in death by a sister Sarah Moran.

The funeral will be Wednesday, January 25th at 1:00 p.m. at Round Hill Church of the Brethren in Toms Brook with Reverend Beverly Funkhouser officiating.

Burial will follow at Sunset View Memorial Gardens in Woodstock.

Pallbearers will be Ron Smoot, Jerry Elbon, Clark Keller, Leo Ryman, Wayne Racey, and Brian Williams.

Honorary Pallbearers will be the grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at Dellinger Funeral Home in Woodstock.
