Cletus “Tuck” Daniel Sine, Sr.

Cletus “Tuck” Daniel Sine, Sr. 81 of Edinburg, died April 11, 2015 at Winchester Medical Center.

Mr. Sine was born August 21, 1933 in Columbia Furnace, son of the late Dillmon Daniel and Ethel Mae Johnson Sine.

He retired from Aileen, Inc. in Edinburg after 28 years.

He was a member of First Church of Columbia Furnace.

Mr. Sine was preceded in death by his first wife, Francis Jean Cook and is survived by his present wife Myrtle “Mert” Viola Sine whom he married December 22, 1962. Also surviving are five daughters, Elizabeth “Tater” Ann McNeal of Quicksburg, Heather Natasha Cook of Strasburg, Ethel “Ginger” Mae Martinez of Edinburg, Valerie “Rosebud” Louise Ferguson and Judy Ann Bowers both of Edinburg; four sons, Cletus “Peanut” Daniel Sine, Jr. and Dale “Pojo” Daniel Sine both of Mt. Jackson, Jerry Lantz of Churchville and Jonathan Burner of Edinburg; three sisters Faye Irene Shipe of Winchester, Peggy Jean Grove and Roxie Geraldine Estep both of Edinburg; two brothers, Richard “Dick” Landon Sine of Edinburg and Paul Junior Sine of Front Royal; 14 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

Mr. Sine was preceded in death by two sons, Larry Bair and Jeffrey Sine.

A funeral service will be Thursday at 3:30 p.m. at First Church of Columbia Furnace with Pastor Brian Duncan officiating. Burial will follow at Columbia Furnace Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan Burner, Dakota Sine, Jimmy Sine, Yancey Sine, Charles Hoover and Tom Shelton.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Dellinger Funeral Home in Mt. Jackson.

In lieu flowers, donations may be made to Cletus D. Sine, Sr. Burial Fund, c/o Dellinger Funeral Home, P.O. Box 63, Mt. Jackson, VA 22842.
