Constance “Connie” Idelia Hepner, 88, of Woodstock, passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at Consulate Health Care in Woodstock. The funeral service will be held Saturday, June 4, at 10:00 a.m. at Antioch Church of the Brethren. Reverend George Bowers will officiate. Burial will follow in Sunset View Memorial Gardens in Woodstock.
Mrs. Hepner was born September 20, 1927 in Clear Brook, VA., daughter of the late Dewey Robert Brown and Carrie Clevenger Brown. She was a member of Antioch Church of the Brethren and the Willing Workers. She was a former member of Ladies Aid of St. Luke Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Robert Brown.
Connie is survived by her husband of 69 years, Fred R. Hepner Sr.; three children, Bonnie Ann Hepner Keith and her husband Tommy of Woodstock, Frederick R. Hepner Jr. of Edinburg and Noah Edward Hepner of Moorefield, WV.; step daughter, Sue E. Dovel of Woodstock; 10 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Tim Cooper, Sam Heishman, Chad Kuykendall, Butch Kuykendall, Kenny Johnson and Denny Fravel.
Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons: David Arlon Polk, James Edward Hepner, Frederick Lee Hepner and Andrew James Hepner.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
