Doris Bernice Stover, 73 of Mt. Jackson, died May 22, 2014 at her home.
She was born March 5, 1941in Edinburg, daughter of the late Marvin Gilbert and Lona Hilda Helsley Funkhouser.
She was a retired town clerk with the town of Edinburg.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Hamburg.
She was also a member of the Ladies of Mt. Jackson Moose #1403 and the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion in Woodstock.
She was married June 25, 1964 to Larry Allan Stover who preceded her in death on October 10, 1993.
She is survived by a son, Duane Stover and his wife Debbie of Quicksburg; a sister, Nancy Shipp of Woodstock; twin brothers, Marvin Kenneth and Gilbert Dennis Funkhouser of Edinburg; three grandchildren, Haley Stover, Taylor Stover, and Cole Stover all of Quicksburg; and special caregivers, Betty Martin and Judy Narcross.
She was preceded in death by a sister Hilda Racey.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 27, at 11:00 a.m. at the Dellinger Funeral Home in Mt. Jackson with the Rev. Freddie Helsley officiating.
Burial will follow at Cedarwood Cemetery in Edinburg.
Pallbearers will be Andy Shipp, Bill Shipp, Rob Funkhouser, Rick Ryan, Larry Green, and Gary Downey.
The family will receive friends Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
