Dear family of Ms.Effie Baker, this lady was a sister to my mom, and i too will miss her dearly. i never went to see her, or have lunch with her that she didn’t tell me she loved me. and if she loved me, i can’t imagine just how much she loved her family, children, grand, and grand grand children. She was so precious, and loved everybody, and loved life. I send prayers to all her family, and pray you find peace, and understanding in the days ahead. Aunt Effie was a beautiful person, inside and out. God-Bless!!

  3. Steve Showman says:

I have known Effie since I could remember anything. When I was a child back in the 60′s my parents and I would go to visit her and Woody and they would come to visit us. Most of the time to play cards. Effie was a wonderful cook and always had treats for me. I loved her homemade doughnuts. (There were none better) She always made me feel like one of her own and I could never thank her enough for that. She was a pillar of the community and the church. In later years when I did not see her as often, she always had a smile for me when I hugged her. Her presence was dear to many people and God has just received a Special Lady!!!
