Ellen Louise Burner

Ellen Louise Burner, 81, of  Woodstock, died Sunday, March 30, 2014 at Skyline Terrace Nursing Home in Woodstock.

She was born December 27, 1932 in Shenandoah County, daughter of the late David William and Julia Verle Dellinger Marston.

She was a member of the Lord’s Chapel in Edinburg.

She was preceded in death November 10, 1995 by her husband, Beverly “Tom” Derwood Burner, Sr. and two sons, Little Tommy and Eugene Stanley.

She is survived by three daughters, Debbie Fadely of Mt. Jackson, Sandra Fitchett of Fort Valley and Brenda Green of Stafford; a son, Richard Stanley of Front Royal; a step daughter, Sherry Vann of Woodstock; a step son, Rusty Burner; a sister, Vivian Ryan of Mt. Jackson; a brother, Douglas Marston of Mt. Jackson; 18 grandchildren; and 29 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Dellinger Funeral Home in Mt. Jackson with the Rev. Everette Burner officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt. Jackson Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Joshua Stanley, Joseph Stanley, Robert Duane Stanley, Justin Fitchett, James David Stanley and Daniel White.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
