Ellen R. (Hockman) Dellinger, 80 of Edinburg passed away Saturday December 6, 2014 at Life Care Center in New Market. A Memorial Service will be held Friday December 12th at 11:30 A.M. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Jerome, VA. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pastor Jeff May will officiate. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:30 at the church.
Mrs. Dellinger was born February 11, 1934 in Linden, Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Jesse Hockman Sr. and Freda Seal Hockman. She was raised by her aunt and uncle, Virginia and Russell Hollar. She was married to the late Laco Dellinger. She was a member of the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. She loved to cook and was considered a gourmet chef and authored two cookbooks. She was also an avid artist. She was an x-ray technician, managed Mobile X-Ray, and spent 40+ years in the Medical Field.
She is survived by 2 sons, Jeff and wife Denise of Jerome,VA and Steve and wife Jean of Manassas Park, VA; a brother, Eldridge Hockman and wife Jean of Stafford, VA; 2 granddaughters, Erica and Kristina Dellinger of Manassas Park, VA and a great grandson, Kaleb Jelinek of Manassas Park, VA.
