Eugene Nelson Miller

Eugene Nelson Miller, 58 of Edinburg, died Sunday, November 20, 2011 at Greenfield of Woodstock.

Mr. Miller was born September 27, 1953 at Washington, D.C., son of Nelson Frederick and Berniece Goldine Miller.

The funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Bethel Lutheran Church in Hamburg with Rev. Jack Tucker and Rev. John F. Taylor, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Church Cemetery

He was a 1972 graduate of Central High School and had his Masters Electrical License.

Mr. Miller was owner and operator of Eugene Miller’s Electrical Service and retired from Shentel after 30 years.

He was dedicated to the Cub Scouts of America and had been Cub Master for 11 years. He was a dedicated supporter of Hamburg Ruritan Club. He also loved to camp, fish, hunt, operate motorized airplanes and was a NASCAR fan. He had a private pilot license.

Mr. Miller is survived by his wife, Debra Owen Miller whom he married December 5, 1982. He is also survived by two sons, Travis Miller and Cody Miller both of Edinburg; a step-son, Heath Testerman of Edinburg; two brothers, Michael Miller of Martinsburg, West Virginia and Jim Miller of Edinburg; and two grandsons Jacob Testerman and Sean Miller.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Dellinger Funeral Home in Mt. Jackson.
