Fleta May Bowman McInturff

Fleta May Bowman McInturff, 92, of Fort Valley, passed away Saturday, April 19, 2014 at Consulate Health Care in Woodstock.  The funeral will be held Wednesday, April 23 at 11:00 a.m. at Dellinger Funeral Home in Woodstock.  Dr. Larry Aikens and Reverend Sherry Waddell will officiate.  Burial will follow in Isaiah Clem Cemetery in Fort Valley.

Mrs. McInturff was born September 18, 1921 in Fort Valley, daughter of the late Albert Mayberry Bowman and Bertha Mae Nicholson Bowman.  She retired from Aileen in Woodstock and was a member of Oak Level United Methodist Church in Fort Valley.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Childs McInturff; sister, Lorraine Jarboe and brother, Frank Bowman.

She is survived by her son, Gary A. McInturff and his wife Adina of Fort Valley; sister, Pauline Burner of Fort Valley and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Mike Jarboe, Jim Golladay, Guy Lamma, Rex Bowman, Gene Hamman and Dan Wolford.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Fort Valley Rescue Squad, 7088 Fort Valley Road, Fort Valley, VA 22652.
