Frances (Sweet) Bowman Fauber

Frances (Sweet) Bowman Fauber, 85, of Toms Brook, VA passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2014.  She married Cletus (Mutt) H. Fauber on October 10, 1947.  Cletus, her husband of more than 65 years predeceased her in death. 

The funeral for her will be held Friday, January 24, 2014 at Dellinger Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m.  Pastor Jonathan Boynton will preside, assisted by Pastor Geneal Wilson from Strasburg Christian Church.  A private burial will take place at a later date.

Mrs. Fauber, daughter of the late Boyd and Virginia Bowman, was born on May 23, 1928 at home in Edinburg, VA.   She graduated from Edinburg High School in 1945, her classmates will attend as a group.  Sweet went to work at the Shenandoah Telephone Company in Edinburg in March of 1952 and retired after more than 40 years, in 1993.  While working for the phone company she held a variety of positions in different departments.

Frances was member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Toms Brook.   She served the church in many capacities including as treasurer of the Women’s service group, member of the adult Sunday school class, and teacher.

She is survived by three sons: Philip K. Fauber and wife Connie of Toms Brook, Dennis B. Fauber and wife Terry of Luketts, VA and Kevin M. Fauber and wife Kim of Toms Brook.  In addition to her sons she is survived by grandchildren:  Jeremy S. Fauber and wife Melinda of Toms Brook, Heather Fauber Williams and husband Tyler of Toms Brook, Bradley Fauber of Maurertown, Bethany Fauber and Kasey Fauber of Toms Brook, Kaitlyn Fauber of Lucketts and great grandchildren Grant Pearson of Toms Brook and Analeigh Rose Moore of Lucketts.  Mrs. Fauber is also survived by a sister, Joyce. B. Sager  and a brother, Bobby Bowman both of Edinburg, VA along with a number of nieces and nephews. 

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Fauber, Bradley Fauber, Tyler Williams, Grant Pearson, John Sager and Robert Sager.  Her granddaughters: Heather Williams, Bethany, Kasey and Kaitlyn Fauber will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Friends may call from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday evening at Dellinger’s Funeral Home.
