Mr. Frank Kearney Gold, 95, a resident of Greenfield of Woodstock, passed away Saturday, October 11, 2014.
He was born on May 7, 1919, in Shelley, Idaho, son of the late Mary Kearney and Francis E. Gold. He served in the Navy during WWII on the USS Farenholt in the Pacific and retired from the National Institute of Health.
Mr. Gold is survived by his brother, Joseph E. Gold (Aileen) of Mt. Bethel, PA; niece and family of PA; step-daughter, Anne P. Sheetz of Edinburg, VA; and step-son, Robert R. Parker (Andrienne) of Basye, VA He was preceded in death by his first wife Lyla, his second wife Rubye, and his sister Yolanda.
Services will be private and held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Blue Ridge Hospice, 333 Cork Street, Winchester, VA 22601.
