Franklin Nelson Rinker

Franklin Nelson Rinker, 68, of Upper Marlboro, Maryland and formerly of Mt. Jackson, died Friday, April 4. 2014 at the V.A. Medical Center in Washington, D.C.

Mr. Rinker was born May 24, 1945 in New Market, VA, son of the late James and Trilby Hawkins Rinker.

He served in the United States Navy inVietnam.

He is survived by a daughter, Christina Rinker of Upper Marlboro, Maryland; two sons, Chadwick Rinker of Winchester and Scott Rinker of Los Angeles, California; and five grandchildren.

Burial will be at Culpeper National Cemetery in Culpeper with Military Honors, Friday, April 18, 2014 at 1 p.m.

Pallbearers will be George Leon Graham, Jayden Pendleton, and Jay Hawkins .

The family will receive friends Saturday, April 12, 2014 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Dellinger Funeral Home in Mt. Jackson.

    My brother Hank and I would have liked to have been there for Frankie’s last journey in life. Frankie use to come to our house in Mt. Jackson all the time. He will be missed by all.

    I believe that when someone we love passes on, God wraps us in a tender embrace while we mourn. No words can make the sorrow go, but know that your friends and family are near in your time of need.
