Fred Phillip Copp, Jr.

Fred Phillip Copp Jr. , 68, of Edinburg passed away Thursday September 27 2012. The funeral service will be Sunday September 30, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at the Saumsville Christian Church. Pastors Joe Fleming and Brian Duncan will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Copp was born August 28, 1944 in Shenandoah County, son of the late Fred Copp Sr. and Willametta Sibert Copp. He was a member of the Saumsville Christian Church and was a Dairy Farmer and Truck Driver.

He is survived by his wife Diana Coffelt Copp, two sons, Fred “Phil” Copp III and his wife Maida of Edinburg, Everett Lee Copp Sr. and his wife Andi of Woodstock, a daughter Lisa L. Copp Croft and her husband Robert Jr. of Edinburg, two brothers, John Copp and wife Shirley of Maurertown, Victor Copp and his wife Debbie of Maurertown, a sister F. Marie Gochenour of Maurertown, and six grandchildren; Everett Lee Copp Jr., Courtney Copp, Hannah Beth Copp, Rashelle Copp, Robbie Lee Croft III, and Willametta Elizabeth Copp-Croft.  He was preceded in death by a daughter Sandy Diana Copp and a sister Ann Elizabeth Copp.

Pallbearers will be Larry Bly, Lester L. Gochenour Jr., Ron Nallon, Wade Copp, Matt Wright, and Gary Clark. Honorary Pallbearers will be Russell Bly Jr. (Tuck), James Painter, Bradley Copp, Bobby Helsley, Tracey Vance, Edgar Lee Coffelt, and Russell Bly III.

The family will receive friends Saturday September 29, from 6:30- 9:00 at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Woodstock Rescue Squad or the Saumsville Christian Church.

    We are so sorry to hear of Phil’s death but happy to know that he has met our glorious God in heaven. We have many wonderful memories of him our families. We are sad that we can’t be with you. We are on our way to Florida on vacation. We are praying that God will bless you and give you peace.
