Frederick Anthony Burroughs

Frederick Anthony Burroughs, 60, of Fort Valley, died Sunday, April 16, 2017 at his home.

He was born February 3, 1957 in Georgetown, Washington, D.C., son of Cecilia Yvanovich Burroughs of Surf City, NC and the late Frederick Milton Burroughs.

He had been employed for 15 years at Shenandoah Vineyards in Edinburg.

He is survived by his wife, Debra Moschgat Burroughs. Also surviving are a son, Jaymes Burroughs of Fort Valley; a sister, Kay Bird of Surf City, NC; two brothers, David Burroughs of Vienna, VA. and John Burroughs of Star Tannery.

Rick loved foraging for mushrooms and hiking the Massanutten mountains.

Please perform a simple act of kindness for another person in Rick’s memory.

Cremation arrangements are by Dellinger Funeral Home in Woodstock.

    To my second family,
    I am so sadden upon learning of Ricky’s passing. Memories of days gone by will never be forgotten. Please take good care of your mother. She is truly a loving person. I played a big part in bringing them up, and I hope I did a fairly good job.
    Stay strong and I will always remember Ricky in my prayers. I could go on and on, but the tears just will not stop.
