Glenn Crawford Miller

Glenn Crawford Miller, 72 of Edinburg, Virginia passed away Saturday, November 29, 2014 at home surrounded by family. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 4, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at Antioch Church of the Brethren. Burial will follow in Massanutten Cemetery. Pastor George Bowers will officiate.

Glenn was born February 27, 1942 in Strasburg (Oranda Area), Virginia. He is the son of the late Lester (Popeye) and Gladys McDonald Miller. He worked for a number of years in the textiles and later retired from Kennametal in New Market, Virginia. He was a member of Antioch Church of the Brethren and was a former deacon. Glenn was a former member of the Woodstock Rescue Squad. He was member of the Woodstock Moose Lodge 575 and a United States Army veteran.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Carolyn Miller; 2 brothers, William L. Miller and John D. Miller and 1 sister, Katie (Kitty) Miller Peer Barrick.

He is survived by his wife, Lillian Annette Miller; 2 daughters Donna Golliday of Luray, and Brenda Fadeley of Woodstock; 2 sons, Adam Miller of Edinburg, and Daniel Dinges of Cabot, Arkansas; 3 sisters, Patricia Fay Meyers of Lexington, N.C., Doris Cook of Roanoke, and Bonnie Bowers and husband Ronnie of Woodstock; 2 brothers, Donnie Miller of Baker W.V and Lyle Stephen Miller and wife Linda of Strasburg; brother-in-law, Herb Wenzel; 9 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren, who he adored and numerous nieces and nephews.

He leaves his spoiled pets, his beloved dog, Angel and cat Chestla.

Pallbearers are grandsons, T.J. Fadeley, Josh Fadeley, Josh Kibler, and good friends Donnie Fadeley, Billy Fadeley and Rex Fadeley. Attending as a group will be the McDonald’s Coffee Crew.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 2 from 6-8 P.M. at Antioch Church of the Brethren.

The family requests that no flowers be sent for Glenn’s funeral. Any memorial contributions can be made to the Antioch Church of the Brethren c/o the building fund 23502 Senedo Road Woodstock, Va. 22664.
