Helen Marie Shrum Burner

Helen Marie Shrum Burner, 90, of Woodstock, passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at Consulate Health Care in Woodstock.  The funeral will be held Saturday, June 21, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Dellinger Funeral Home in Woodstock.  Reverend Wendell Schurtz will officiate.  Burial will follow in St. Luke Cemetery in Woodstock.

Mrs. Burner was born February 6, 1924 in St. Luke, daughter of the late Ira Marvin Shrum and Mary Ellen Bemis Shrum.  She was a member of Patmos Lutheran Church in Woodstock and married to the late Marvin F.”Tony” Burner. She was also preceded in death by her step mother, Libby Shrum and brothers Clarence, Robert and Warren Shrum.

She is survived by her son, Marvin L. “Buster” Burner and wife Dee of Woodstock; three daughters, Mary Ann Didawick and husband Bill of Woodstock, Joan Polk and husband Loraine of Edinburg and Janice B. Ryman and husband Kenny of Woodstock; two grandchildren, Lori Coffey and husband Kenny and Christopher Ryman and wife Gabrielle; four great grandchildren, Garrett and Jacob Coffey and Mackenzie and Noah Ryman; step brother, Donald Hruby of Illinois and sister-in-law, Elsie Woods of Woodstock.

Pallbearers will be Cameron Copp, Jerry Copp, Steve Copp, Richard Burner, Phil Burner, Bobby Helsley, and Kevin Gutshall.

The family will receive friends Friday from 6:30-8:30 at the funeral home.
