Howard Preston Hutchinson, Jr.

Howard Preston Hutchinson, Jr. (Hutch) 83 of Woodstock, passed away on October 7, 2011.

He was born on June 22, 1928 in Cheraw, SC to the late Howard Preston, Sr. and Sybil Cullens Hutchinson.  Mr. Hutchinson was a veteran of the United States Air Force and later retired from the Defense Intelligence Agency in 1980 and has been a resident of the Shenandoah Valley since his retirement.

Mr. Hutchinson was a member of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association, the American Legion and the Moose Lodge of Woodstock, Virginia.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 58 years, Nancy S. Hutchinson and his son, Kenneth R. Hutchinson.

Mr. Hutchinson is survived by his daughter, Brenda S. Hutchinson and his granddaughter, Bridget Rackauskas and her husband, LCDR Preston Rackauskas;  his great grandchildren, Madeline and Jack Rackauskas; his two grandsons, Dennis and John Paul Hollich.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm on Friday, October 14, 2011 at the Dellinger Funeral Home, Woodstock, where funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at 12 Noon. Interment will follow at the Cedarwood Cemetery, Edinburg.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Pendleton Nursing Home, 141 Maple Ave. Franklin, West Virginia 26807.
