Jefferson C. “Pete” Bolt

Jefferson C. “Pete” Bolt, 78, of Mount Jackson, widower of Ellen Catherine Funkhouser Bolt, died Saturday, December 17, 2011 at the Winchester Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Zion Lutheran Church by Rev. Katie Gosswein. Burial will follow in the Zion Church Cemetery.

Mr. Bolt was born March 3, 1933 at Leesburg, Virginia. He was the son of the late Charles and Ruth Hurst Bolt.

He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church and a veteran of the United States Army. He was also the owner of his own commercial construction company.

Mr. Bolt is survived by three daughters, Sherry Bolt of Manassas, Carol Sedoris of Fredericksburg and Robin Bolt of Lignum; four sons, Jeffrey Bolt of Goldvein, Robert Bolt of Mineral, Thomas Bolt of Culpeper and Daniel Bolt of St. Petersburg, FL; two sisters, Ruth Ann Ritter of Toms Brook and Barbara Showalter of Duck, NC; 14 grandchildren and seven great-grand children.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 8:30 PM at the Dellinger Funeral Home, Woodstock.
