Jena Elizabeth Shifflett

Jena Elizabeth Shifflett, 86 of Mt. Jackson, died Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Shenandoah Memorial Hospital in Woodstock.

She was born April 20, 1928 in Conicville, daughter of the late Perry G. and Mary Elizabeth Ross Dellinger.

She was a member of Grace United Church of Christ in Mt. Jackson.

She was preceded in death by her husbands Ranzy Bean and Paul Shifflett.

She is survived by two daughters Candice Locke and her husband Jimmy of Woodstock and Karen Costie and her husband James of Canton, GA; a son Dale Anthony Bean and his wife Julie of Edinburg; a stepson Lorenza Bean and his wife Dorothy of Mt. Jackson; three grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at the Dellinger Funeral Home in Mt. Jackson with the Rev. Joel Walkley and Rev. Barbara Rhodes.

Burial will follow at Grace Church Cemetery in Mt. Jackson.

Pallbearers will be Tim Weaver, Roger Weaver, Shawn Dellinger, Gregory Dellinger, Mike Dellinger and Jay Ross.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Jim Long, Ronnie Zerkel, James Zerkel, Jack Zerkel, Charles Jenkins and Caleb Golladay.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

In Lieu of flowers Memorial contributions may be made to Shenandoah Memorial Hospital Foundation Comfort Cart, 759 S Main St, Woodstock, VA  22664.  Aviary at either Life Care Center 315 E Lee Hwy, New Market, VA  22844 or Skyline Terrace Nursing Home, 123 Lakeview Drive, Woodstock,  VA  22664.
