Jesse “Bob” Robert Miller

Jesse “Bob” Robert Miller, 89 of Quicksburg, died Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Life Care Center of New Market.

Mr. Miller was born May 30 1925 in Fulks Run, son of the late Jesse Lee and Stella Curtis Ritchie Miller.

He was a meat cutter for 33 years with Shenvalley Meat Packers in Timberville and was also foreman of Beef Sales and Beef Boning.

He was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Broadway.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Fulk Miller, February 9, 2014, whom he married July 20, 1946.

Mr. Miller is survived by five daughters, Sharon Ann and Allen Chester Dove, Terri L. and Don Bosley, Cindy M. Jenkins and Ellen Kay and Allen Estep all of Broadway and Debbie and Charles M. Good of New Market; two sons, Jesse Steven and Dianna Sue Miller and Michael Robert and Robin Miller all of Quicksburg; two sisters, Geneva Shafer of Quicksburg and Frances Dellinger of  of York, PA ; a brother, Charles W. Miller of Broadway; 24 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren; and 9 great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four sisters, Lena Bowman, Mary Lam, Mabel Smith and Nellie Bowman and a brother, Loy Miller.

A funeral service will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Faith Baptist Church in Broadway with thePastor Kevin Gerber and Pastor Timothy Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Grove Brethren Church Cemetery in Fulks Run.

Pallbearers will be Thomas W. Miller, Jesse M. Miller, Paul A. Miller, Jason R. Dove, Charles M. Good, Jr. and Jeremiah W. Miller.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Dellinger Funeral Home in Mt. Jackson.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Mission Fund at Faith Baptist Church, 675 Early Drive, Broadway, VA 22815.

    Dear Miller family,
    We are saddened to hear of Bro. Bob´s passing even though we are sure that he is with the Lord. He was one of the first Christians we (Cullers family) knew, and we will always remember his sweet and cheerful smile. May the Lord give you all comfort and may the sweet memories of your parents stay with you always.
