John Scott Stephens

John Scott Stephens 69 of Woodstock lost his battle with cancer on Sunday, July 7, 2013 at his home.

John was born October 28, 1943 in Logan, West Virginia, the son of the late C.J. and Orpha Stephens.

He was a graduate of Logan High school and attended Marshall University. He retired after 37 years as an electrical engineer for Fairfax County, Virginia.

Surviving are his daughter, Anita Denty, and three sisters, Mary M. Miller of Pineville, W.Va., Gladys (Sug) Gostovich of Raceland, Ky., and Deborah Maples of Cedartown, Ga., two granddaughters, Tiffany Rose Denty and Lindsey Renee Denty both of Woodbridge, Va. and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 10 from 6 to 8 pm and a funeral service on Thursday, July 11, 11:00 am at the Dellinger Funeral Home, Woodstock, Virginia.

I lived on Crooked Creek and rode the bus and went to school with John. He was a great fellow. Our love and prayers that you will get through this ok David and Darlene
