Joyce Sue Thornett

Joyce Sue Thornett 66 of Fairfax died July 9, 2013 after a long illness.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2013, 2:00 pm at the Dellinger Funeral Home, Woodstock, Virginia by Pastor Darryl George. Burial will be private.

Mrs. Thornett was born October 3, 1946 in Wells County, Indiana. She was the daughter of the late Jason and Violet Ritchey Banter. Mrs. Thornett was a former member of Centreville Baptist Church and a member of First Baptist Church, Woodstock.

She is survived by her husband, Howard D. Thornett of Fairfax; a son, Eric Thornett of Fairfax; two daughters, Julie Sanders and her husband, Robert of Round Hill and Amy Schiefer and her husband, Josh of Fairfax; five sisters, Ellen King of Fort Wayne, IN, Ileen Maxwell and her husband, Bill of Noblesville, IN, Linda King and her husband, Wendell, Joan Springer and her husband, George, and Wanda Mason, all of Bluffton, In; two brothers, Jack Banter and wife, Ruth of North Manchester, In, and Rex Banter and wife, Mickie of Warren, IN; two grandchildren, Abigail  and Mikayla Sanders.

The family will receive friends at the Dellinger Funeral Home, Woodstock on Friday from 4 to 8 pm and Saturday 10 am to 2 pm.
