Kevin Lee Sibert

Kevin Lee Sibert, 58, of Winchester went to be with the Lord on April 10, 2016.  He passed away at home.  The funeral service will be held Thursday, April 14 at 11:00 A.M. at Dellinger Funeral Home in Woodstock.  Pastor Vernon Bray will officiate.  Burial will follow in Sunset View Memorial Gardens in Woodstock.

Kevin was born on May 15, 1957 at Shenandoah Memorial Hospital to Carl (Tom) Sibert who preceded him in death and Sylvia Morris Sibert of Mt. Jackson.  He was a graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School.  He was a self-employed life-long painter and was most recently employed by Kee Construction.  He attended the Church of the Good Shepherd in Winchester.

Kevin is survived by his mother; daughter, Kasey Mowery and husband Glenn of Winchester; son, Jamie Sibert of Strasburg; granddaughter, Gracie Mowery and grandson Marshall Mowery both of Winchester.  He was “PawPaw” to these two who deeply adored him, and they were the light of his life.  He is also survived by sisters, Carla Hoover and husband Kenny and Tammy Golladay and fiancé Terry Smith all of Mt. Jackson and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Glenn Mowery, Caleb Golladay, Terry Smith, Ricky Click, Jay Sperry and Dale Bean.

Honorary pallbearer will be Rick Kline.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral Home.

Kevin was a loving father, grandfather, son, brother and friend.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

    My memories of Kevin are from growing up in Avondale Acres and going to school together. I think every guy liked him and every girl had a crush on him! He was such a sweet, gentle soul and loved to laugh. We had some wonderful times and he will be surely missed. Take heart in knowing that he brought joy and smiles to many.

    We were blessed to have Kevin with us for the past few years at KEE Construction. I got to know Kevin personally and worked beside him professionally as well. Kevin was fun to be around and everyone respected him for the work he did here. We always had requests for Kevin. We all are sad to see him go this soon and he will be greatly missed.
