Langston Gee left this physical existence on May 6, 2014 at age 74 after a valiant battle with cancer. His spirit lives on in the many lives he touched with his kindness, charm, sense of humor, generosity, intelligence, selflessness, and most of all love.
Langston retired from the Staff of United States Senate and then pursued a career in travel. He volunteered at the Shenandoah County Free Clinic in Woodstock, was a member of the Basye Lions Club and was a member of a Tai Chi class.
Langston is survived by many family members and friends who will miss his presence in their lives. He leaves a brother, Chester Gee, MD and his wife, Gail; step-sons Scott, and Chris Conrad; grandsons Robert, John, and Tyler Conrad and a great-granddaughter Cali Conrad. Langston also is survived by his grateful wife Carole.
Langston expressed a desire to “leave quietly” and requested that he not have a memorial service.
For those who would like to remember Langston, he requested that it be by donations to The Shenandoah County Animal Shelter in Edinburg, Virginia or to The Blue Ridge Hospice in Winchester, Virginia.
Arrangements are by Dellinger Funeral Home in Mt. Jackson, VA.
