Larry Alcorn

Larry Alcorn, 50, of Star Tannery, VA passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at his home.  The funeral service will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the Dellinger Funeral Home in Woodstock.  Pastor Shawn Graber will officiate.  Burial will follow in Columbia Furnace Cemetery.

Mr. Alcorn was born November 11, 1963 in Pennsylvania, son of the late Clarence E. (Big T) Alcorn and Wilda Baker Alcorn.  He retired from Carmeuse in Strasburg where he was a Quarry Floater Operator.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening.  He was preceded in death by sister, Darlene Custer, brother, Ed Alcorn and one nephew.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia L. Alcorn; two sons, Richard S. Keel and fiancé Jennifer Bennett of Woodstock and Robert L. Alcorn of Star Tannery; daughter, Christina A. Alcorn Baggarly and husband, PJ Baggarly Jr. of Strasburg; two sisters, Juanita Gothe and husband Craig and Brenda Alcorn Saunders and husband Bill all of PA; one brother, Harry Alcorn of PA; two grandchildren, Landon J. Alcorn and Morgan L. Keel and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Scotty Orndorff, Richard Keel, Robert Keel, Josh Alcorn, Austin Madigan and PJ Baggarly Jr.

The family will receive friends Friday from 7-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Treatment Center of America in Chicago or toward family expenses.
