LaRue Golladay Silvious, 87, of Mt. Jackson died Saturday, October 3, 2015 at Timberview Crossing Assisted Living in Timberville.
Mrs. Silvious was born August 15, 1928, daughter of the late George Bauman and Emma Elizabeth Clem Golladay.
She was employed for 31 years at Blue Bell Inc. in Mt. Jackson and five years at J. E. Morgan before retiring in 1994.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Pine Lutheran Church in Mt. Jackson.
She was married February 12, 1949 to Jacob Paul Silvious, Jr. who preceded her in death October 9, 2009.
Mrs. Silvious is survived by a niece, Nancy Whiteside (Ralph) of Chester, and nephews, Gary Golladay (Judy) Edinburg, Robert Golladay (Paula) of Falls Church, Fred Bennett ( Peggy) of Elkton; and nephew-in-law, Bruce Secrist.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, four brothers and a niece.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 7 at 11 a.m. at the Dellinger Funeral Home in Mt. Jackson with the Rev. Karen Van Stee officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt. Jackson Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Robert Golladay, Fred Bennett, Mike Barrick, Kevin Estep, Jerry Silvious and Joedy Sheets.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
