Lorna Mae Grayson Lewis, 93, of Bridgewater, died Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at Bridgewater Retirement Community in Bridgewater.
She was born May 25, 1924 in Lexington, Kentucky, daughter of the late Frank H. and Wanita Pfeiffer Grayson.
She was a graduate of George Washington University and received a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. She was a graduate of Metairie Park Country Day School, Metairie, Louisiana.
She also had been employed by Civil Aeronautics Administration-Editor of National Newsletter on Flight Medicine. She was Administrative Assistant-Belle Grove Plantation, Middletown, VA.
Mrs. Lewis belonged to NARFE (National Association of Retired Federal Employees).
She passionately supported Nature Conservancy, National Wildlife Federation, The American Chestnut Foundation and various American Indian Charities.
Mrs. Lewis was preceded in death by her husband , John Warren Lewis.
She is survived by her children, Warren Lewis of Yellow Springs, Ohio, Maia Lewis Hughes of Lawrenceville, New Jersey and Evan Lewis of Basye; seven grandchildren, Jack Lewis, David Lewis, Claire Lewis, Julianne Hughes, Tyler Hughes, Rachel Lewis and Sarah Lewis.
Services will be at a later date.
