Lula Jennie Omps, 84 of Woodstock passed away Thursday, May 19, 2016 at Winchester Medical Center. Funeral Services were held Sunday, May 22, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Dellinger Funeral Home in Woodstock. Burial was at Sunset View Memorial Gardens. Reverends Brian Duncan and Randy Whetzel officiated.
Lula was born September 1, 1931 in Berkley Springs, West Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Alva and Myrtle Mason. She retired as an inspector from Shenandoah Knitting Mills. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Omps; a daughter, Joyce Burner; a granddaughter, Brandy Walters; 5 brothers and 3 sisters.
She is survived by 3 daughters, Roxanne Thorpe and husband Doug of Woodstock, Irene Parsons and husband Gerald of Martinsburg, West Virginia and Tammy Neal and husband Roy of Toms Brook; 2 sisters, Betty Calvin of Winchester and Bernadine Unger of Berkley Springs, West Virginia; 4 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Josh Burner, Cody Neal, Mike Parsons, Gerald Parsons, Doug Thorpe, Chase Kerns and Roy Neal.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Brianna Green, Tyler Parsons, Austin Parsons, Cameron Parsons, Emily Burner, Madyson Burner, Kylie Burner, Gage Walters, Jennifer Neal, Terri Green and Gregory Neal.
The family received friends at the funeral home from 6-8 on Saturday May 21, 2016.
