Mabel Louise Miller

Mabel Louise Miller, 87, of Mt. Jackson, died Sunday, January 27, 2013 at Shenandoah Memorial Hospital in Woodstock.

Mrs. Miller was born March 24, 1925 in Woodstock, daughter of the late Carl Raymond and Vernie Susan “Susie” Riffey Mauck.

She was a member of Columbia Furnace Brethren Church. Mrs. Miller was co-owner of Mt. Jackson Grocery.

She was married August 20, 1949 to Maxwell Alexander Miller who preceded her in death July 24, 1993.

Mrs. Miller is survived by four daughters, Carolyn “Cookie” L. Silvious and husband Fred of Mt. Jackson, Jean Morse and husband Everett of New Market, Kay Hilliard and husband Jeff of Luray and Maxine Minton and fiancé Carl Richman of Mt. Jackson; eight grandchildren, Denise Silvious- Dellinger and husband Michael, Melissa “Sissie” Moomaw and husband Abe, Michael Morse, Richie Minton and wife Amanda, Nicole “Nikki” Morse, Christopher Minton and companion Kortni Henderlite, Lisa Hilliard, and Erica Wood and husband Jason; 12 great grandchildren, Kourtney Minton, Chad Morse, Tyler Dellinger, Marcus Morse, Mackenzie Minton, Seth Moomaw, Dawson Moomaw, Marisa Moomaw, Brandon Moomaw, Carolina Wood, Jacoby Wood and Levi Dubose.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Dellinger Funeral Home in Mt. Jackson with Rev. Howard Lutz officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset View Memorial Gardens in Woodstock.

Pallbearers will be Mike Morse, Christopher Minton, Michael Dellinger, Richard Minton, Abe Moomaw and Larry Helsley.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
