Margaret Donaleen Carte

Margaret Donaleen Carte, 80 of Woodstock passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at Winchester Medical Center surrounded by her loving family and her Pastor. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, October 7 at 6:30 P.M. at the Woodstock United Methodist Church. Burial will be at a later date. Pastor Robert Hoskins will officiate.

Mrs. Carte was born December 30, 1933 in Woodstock. She was the daughter of the late Landon and Margaret VanVoorhis Fravel. She was a member of the Shenandoah Garden Club, a volunteer at the Clothes Closet in Woodstock and a Woodstock High School Graduate of 1952.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Robert Carte; a son David Carte of Edinburg; a daughter, Karen Girouard of Edinburg; 6 grandchildren, Cody, Josh, and Devon Girouard, Caren Cline, Aimee Miller, and Christina Carte; and 4 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Woodstock United Methodist Church.

    A dear frield has passed away. Loving thoughts I have of Marge will never faid away. We E-mail each othe a lot. Talked about the good old days. I will truly miss Her very much. My thoughts and prayes are with her Husband Bob. Everything happened so fasat. Iam sure that Bob is hard pressed to understand why. I know that the Lord has a special place for marge. God Bless.

    We are truly shocked and saddend at the sudden death of our friend and neighbor Marge, as we knew her.
    We will greatly miss her generous laugh and good humor and mostly her as a kind, and thoughtful person.
    She was an excellent watch dog to our house across from them while we were away. She would always come out and wave to us and give us a big hello when we came home from Florida. Bob our thoughts and prayers are with you at
    this most difficult time.

She was a profound Christian lady that knew the Lord and lived her life accordingly. My sincere sympathy to her husband Bob and family.     Marge was a classmate of the class of 1952 at Wooodstock High School .
    Marge was well liked by her classmates and she will be missed.
