Margaret Eleanora Foltz

Mrs. Margaret Eleanora Foltz, 94 of Mt. Jackson, died Saturday, February 1, 2014 at her home.

Mrs. Foltz was born July 22, 1919 in Shenandoah County, daughter of the late Roy Otis and Margaret Elenora Foltz Bowman.

She was married February 21, 1941 to J. Robert Foltz who preceded her in death July 24, 2002.

She was a member of Hawkinstown United Methodist Church in Mt. Jackson. She was also a member of the Conicville Home Demonstration Club until it was disolved.

Mrs. Foltz was employed at Shenandoah Telephone Company in Mt. Jackson until the switchboard was moved to Edinburg. Also she worked at Bowman Apple Products in the 50”s Mrs. Foltz is survived by two sons, Douglas L. Foltz and wife Susan of Newport News and Robert G. Foltz and wife Sue of Mt. Jackson; three sisters, Louise Bowers of Woodstock, Beverley Bowman of Mt. Jackson and Betty Phillips of Mt. Jackson; one brother, Richard Bowman of Edinburg; a granddaughter, Steffanie Foltz Williams and husband Carl; and a great grandson, Gage Williams of Richmond.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Stewart Chalmers Bowman and Billy Paige Bowman.

Graveside services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Mt. Jackson Cemetery with the Rev. John F. Taylor, Jr. officiating.

Pallbearers will be Herman Hensley, Charles Custer, Gary Golladay, Warren Hepler and Brian Hepler.

The family will receive friends at the home of the son, Robert and wife Sue Foltz in Mt. Jackson.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of choice.
