Martha Ann Hurd

Martha Ann Hurd age 77 of Woodstock Va. passed away peacefully at her home to be with her Lord surrounded by her loved ones on October 16 2012.

She was born on February 22,1935 in Pocahontas Va. and was preceded in death by her husband George Fairbanks Hurd and was the daughter of the late Oakie and Vangie Bogle.

Surviving are five children, Nancy Lober and Husband Mike of Boyce, Alva Hurd of Fairfax, Anita Hollyfield of Woodstock, George C. Hurd and Wife Linda of Front Royal, and Christopher Hurd and Wife Sherri of Woodstock.

She is also survived by nine Grandchildren, Rebecca Alkire, Steven Jenkins and their Father Douglas Jenkins, Kenneth Lober, Catherine Saunders, William M. Hollyfield, Theresa M. Taylor, Heather M. Rhodes, G. Matthew Hurd, Daniel E. Hurd and eleven Great Grandchildren. Surviving siblings are Dela Hollins, Bonnie Mullins, Fred Bogle, Harry Bogle, and Dougless Bogle.

Services will be held at Dillinger Funeral Home, Woodstock Virginia on October 19, 2012.

Family will receive friends from 7-8p.m. followed by funeral services at 8p.m. Graveside services will be held on Sunday October 21, 2012 at 2;00 p.m. at Temple Hill Memorial Park in Castlewood Virginia.

    martha was my cousin,i visited her 3 years ago and we had a wonderful time.i wanted to see her again,and did not get the chance.she loved her kids and i know they will miss her so much.
