Mary Frances Frye, 84, of Mt. Jackson, died Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at Life Care Center of New Market.
She was born January 15, 1932 in Mt. Jackson, daughter of the late Lester William and Mary Catherine Hawkins Hansberger.
She was employed for 31 years at Blue Bell, Inc. in Mt. Jackson.
She was a member of the Mt. Jackson United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Frye was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Eugene Frye.
Mrs. Frye is survived by a son, Franklin Dale and his wife, Elizabeth Baker of Basye; three grandchildren, Jeremy Baker, Jeanie Baker and Chris Lytton; two great grandchildren, Chase Jones and Cambrea Smoot and a daughter-in-law, Nona Baker of Mt. Jackson.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Catherine Gail Frye and a son Steven Wayne Baker; and five sisters, , Reba Allison, Fay Litton, Shirley Miller, Charlotte Dellinger and Jeanette Guess.
A funeral service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Dellinger Funeral Home in Mt. Jackson with the Rev. Darwin Edwards officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt. Jackson Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Robert Burner, Roger Bowers, Denny Dellinger, Jeremy Baker, Terry Jones and Steve Sager.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
