Mary Frances Helsley Walker, 91, Beloved and devoted wife of 73 years to William D. Walker, passed away Sunday, September 21, 2014. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at 2:15 p.m. at Dellinger Funeral Home in Woodstock. Pastor Mary Louise Brown will officiate. Burial will be private in Sunset View Memorial Gardens in Woodstock.
Mary Walker was born October 17, 1922 in Woodstock, VA. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Annandale, VA. She is survived by her husband, William D. Walker; her brother, Carl Helsley; grandsons, Kevin and Craig Walker and her great granddaughter, Savannah Walker. She was preceded in death by her son, Richard A. Walker.

Mary Walker exemplified this quote to the utmost. She lived a life of love, selflessness, support, and happiness. She was a lover and admirer of nature. Mary was able to see the beauty and simplicity in the natural world that surrounds us all. Mary Walker shared this gift with all of us through her involvement in the Sumi-e Society. An art dedicated to the appreciation of East Asian brush painting. Mary not only shared her talents she excelled in this talent, winning numerous awards for her art work.
She will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
