Mary Frances Shaw

Mary Frances Shaw 83 of Woodstock, widow of Charles Edward Shaw died Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at Consulate Health Care.

The family will receive friends Saturday, March 30 2013 from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm when a memorial service will be conducted by Rev. Jim Corbitt at the Dellinger Funeral Home, Woodstock.

Mrs. Shaw was born in Shenandoah County, Virginia on August 18, 1929. She was the daughter of the late Herbert and Mattie Miller Shrum. She was employed by Blue Bell, Bowman Apple, and retired from Woodstock, Moose.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Norman and Charles Shaw; five brothers, Alfred Shrum, Buck Shrum, Eddie Shrum, Joe Shrum, and Ralph Shrum;  two sisters, Margie Orndorff and Kathleen Shafer.

Mrs. Shaw is survived by two daughters, Delores Bennett and Jeannie Hockman; three sons, Landon Shaw and wife Debbie, Robert Shaw and wife, Maxine, and Frank Shaw; two sisters, Louise Diggs and Inez Coffman; ten grandchildren, Brian Shaw, Alecia Shaw, Lisa Bennett, Michael Shaw, Brent Shaw, Charles Shaw, Hannah Shaw, Paige Shaw, Kara Hockman, and Jeremy Shaw; Several great grand children, great- great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She enjoyed socializing with friends at Ben Franklin and the Woodstock Moose, where she had a seat designated for her. She enjoyed sitting on her front porch at her home in Maurertown. She also enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family.

    So many fond memories made with my Aunt Mary. From going for Friday hair do at Sharon’s to eating hot roast beef with gravy and French fries with gravy at Bens! And of course she always had to buy me and Jeannie a toy or something on those excursions! She loved to go go go and Loved to be with her family!! She will be so missed by so many. May she rest in
