Mary Harris Clem

Mary Harris Clem, 104, of Augusta, WVA, died Thursday, April 6, 2017 at her home in Augusta WVA.

Mrs. Clem was born April 25, 1912 in Woodstock, daughter of the late John S. and Annie Clem Harris.

She was a 1930 graduate of Woodstock High School.

She had been a jeweler/florist in Woodstock for many years.

Mrs. Clem was a member of Woodstock United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene G. Clem and a son, Allen G. Clem.

She is survived by three grandchildren, a grandson, with whom she made her home, George G. Clem, Angie Moore and Amy Tyler; six great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and nephews, John Reed, Wade C. Crabill and Michael Crabill.

A graveside service will be held Monday, April 10, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Massanutten Cemetery in Woodstock with her nephew Rev. G. Michael Crabill officiating.

The family will receive friends Monday, April 10, 2017 from 12 noon until 1:30 p.m. at the Dellinger Funeral Home in Woodstock prior to the graveside service.

Pallbearers will be Bill Gray, J.D. Moore, Sean Fahey, Sebastian Perry and Vanessa Stewart.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142.

    I’m so sorry to hear of Mary’s passing. She was a dear sweet lady and she helped me with my wedding flowers on April 19, 1968. I have a beautiful brooch from her jewelry selections. She was so kind to me!
