Mary Isabel Wilkins Miller of Edinburg, widow of Otis Warren Miller, Sr., died at her home on Saturday, March 26, 2011.
A funeral service will be held at the Dellinger Funeral Home, Woodstock on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at 11:00 AM by Pastor Steve McMillion and Rev. Timothy Teates. Burial will follow at Sunset View Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Miller was born in Woodstock, Virginia on May 16, 1927, the daughter of Samuel James and Annie Estep Wilkins.
Mary married Otis Warren Miller on January 18, 1947 at his mother’s home in Columbia Furnace. She was employed as a store manager at Dollar General.
Mary, better known as Maw-Maw, enjoyed spending time watching her grandchildren grow. Through her journey of life she has touched many lives with her caring spirit and will be greatly missed by all.
Surviving are her children and spouses, Shirley and Carl Bright, Otie and Robin Miller, Cookie and Gary Grant, Mike and Debbie Miller, Fay and the late Bobby Wymer, and Joe and Susan Miller; her grandchildren, David and Audrey Bright, Daphine Bright, Natalie and Tim Rhodes, Matthew Miller, Nikolyn Grant, Colby and Megan Grant, Craig and Justin Miller, Dustin and Margaret Wymer, Jacob Wymer and fiancé Tori Smith, Jeremy Miller ; her great- grandchildren, Kirsten and Allison Bright, Cody Mumaw and Casey Terrell, Lance and Rylee Rhodes, and Payton Grant. She is also survived by her sister Sadie Spence, numerous nieces and nephews, and special family friends Patty and Mike Painter and Gloria and Stanley Spitler.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband Otis, sisters Marguerite Orndorff and Pauline Feller, and brothers James and David Wilkins.
The family will receive friends at the Dellinger Funeral Home, Woodstock Monday from 7 to 8:30 PM.
Pallbearers will be David Bright, Matthew Miller, Colby Grant, Justin Miller, Craig Miller, Jeremy Miller, Jacob Wymer, and Dustin Wymer.
