Mary Virginia Clark Dellinger, 89, of Mt. Jackson, died Friday, December 9, 2011, at Greenfield Reflections in Strasburg.
Mrs. Dellinger was born December 4, 1922 in Edinburg, daughter of the late William H. and Myrtie Ellen Helsley Clark.
She was a 1941 graduate of Edinburg High School. She retired from Aileen Inc. in Woodstock. Mrs. Dellinger was a member of St. Jacob’s Lutheran Church, west of Edinburg.
She was married July 9, 1941 to Charles William Dellinger who predeceased her January 24, 2004.
She is survived by a daughter, Dorris Gibson and her husband William of Cary, North Carolina; a son, Roger Clark Dellinger and his wife Dorothy of Advance, North Carolina; four grandchildren, William Gibson of Apex, North Carolina, Clark Gibson of Durham, North Carolina, Amber Harold of Charlotte, North Carolina and Charles Dellinger of Huntersville, North Carolina; and four great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her brothers, Glenn, Earl, Marvin, Ray and Claude Clark.
Funeral services will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Dellinger Funeral Home in Mt. Jackson with Rev. Katie Gosswein and Rev. John F. Taylor, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Cedarwood Cemetery in Edinburg.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
