Nancy L. Dysart

Nancy L. Dysart, 76 of Woodstock passed away Thursday, October 22, 2015 at Shenandoah Memorial Hospital. Services will be Monday, October 26, 2015 at 3:00 P.M. at St. Jacob’s Lutheran Church. Burial will follow at Sunset View Memorial Gardens. Pastors Katie Gosswein and John Taylor Jr. will officiate.

Nancy was born January 3, 1939 In Conicville, Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Roy and Grace Sager Funkhouser. She was a 1956 graduate of Triplett High School. Nancy worked at the Shenandoah County Schools as a teacher’s aide. She was a lifetime member of St. Jacob’s Lutheran Church. She loved her family. She loved doing crafts and her and Frank attended many craft shows and enjoyed making crafts. She was married to Charles Frank Dysart on October 20, 1956 who preceded her death. She was also preceded in death by 2 sisters, Betty Estep and Tressie Funkhouser and 1 brother, Curtis Funkhouser.

Nancy is survived by a daughter, Tressie Rigby and husband Dennis of Woodstock; a son, Kevin Dysart and wife Judy of Woodstock; 4 grandchildren, Lindsey Rigby, Ryan, Phillip, and Victoria Dysart; and 1 great granddaughter, Morgan.

Family will receive friends on Sunday, October 25, 2015 from 7-8 P.M. at Dellinger Funeral Home in Woodstock.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Shenandoah County Animal Shelter 268 Landfill Road, Edinburg, Virginia 22824.
