Norman Ray Polk

Norman Ray Polk, 91 of Edinburg passed away Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Pine Meadow Assisted Living. Services will be Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at 11:00AM, the First Church of Columbia Furnace. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Reverend Brian Duncan will officiate.

Norman was born April 4, 1926 in Edinburg. He was the son of the late Rodney and Aggie Barrick Polk. He was a member of the First Church of Columbia Furnace. He was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey E. Polk and son Dennis R. Polk. He was also preceded in death by 2 sisters, Ruby Thompson and Shirley Bentley and 2 brothers, Floyd and Glenn Polk.

He is survived by a son Anthony Polk and wife Susan of Orange, Virginia; a daughter, Linda Seymour and husband Charles of Spotsylvania, Virginia; 3 sisters, Fern Ryman of Maurertown, Patsy Himelright of Strasburg, and Betty Mumaw of Edinburg; 8 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Joseph Seymour, Charles Seymour, Charles Seymour II, Justin Wilson, David Polk and Michael Creech.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 17 from 5:00 to 7:00 at the Dellinger Funeral Home in Woodstock.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Blue Ridge Hospice, 333 West Cork Street Winchester, Virginia 22601.
